these special pieces are knit in small family workshops in peru, where knitting with andean alpaca wool has been practiced for thousands of years. each knitwear purchase enables us to provide income to our knitter partners as well as support awamaki, a special charity dedicated to women artisans in peru, to which we donate a portion of each purchase.
