we had the privilege of invading a gorgeous home in houston for our resort 2018 shoot this past april. this house made shooting so easy with its countless backdrops, incredible light and clean, modern aesthetic.
we've got a good thing going with photographer jenny antill at the helm and beautiful alyssa case peters working her magic. jenny is full of ideas, and has erin and me in stitches the entire time. scroll down and let these photos show how good she is.
let me tell you, modeling is not easy, and alyssa knows exactly how to move, pose-not-pose, change her face to make the shots look just right. it is sort of mind blowing to watch. and she does this for hours with the most positive attitude-- even at the end of the day as erin and i are already lying flat on the ground with exhaustion saying, we're done, it's good, let's just drink this champagne already!
she's full of energy and still wanting to get it right. she's awesome.
hey alyssa, can you balance on this barely-there ledge wearing sunglasses that don't fit? and looks effortless and beautiful? thanks.
these two working together in this incredible house allowed erin and me to basically kick back and have fun.
(see image of erin below for what i really mean by this...)
we're only in this for the snacks.
our job during the shoot-- in addition to styling, moving things along, and giving unsolicited opinions-- mainly consists of holding things.
i'm wearing a fanny pack next shoot.
second job is to bring snacks that no one ends up eating except for us. case in point.
we're usually so in awe of the shot that we forgot one our jobs: fixing bra straps.
cute furry friend assisting all day
wasn't crazy about these shots at the time, but now liking the 60's vibe
one more doggo to help us out
on a break, and she's still stunning
anyone else like the "getting ready' pictures as much as we do?
these jeans! we always get questions: they're vintage, from the 70's
notice something weird in the above photo? the neck embellishment is pinned up to make it shorter. it was much longer on the sample, but we made a game day decision to shorten it. this happens all the time-- the collection is rarely totally finished by shoot day-- so we sometimes do our best at some minor creative photoshopping. shhhhh.
and the most awkward part of the day: after sweating and working all day,
we somehow think taking a few bio shots is a good idea.
