this top is handloomed by women in central india and is made of 100% handspun cotton. this style of hands-spun cotton is called khadi, a traditional indian fabric that gives a lofty and soft feel. the co-op provides training, childcare and ethical employment to village women who otherwise would have few alternatives, providing great opportunity to these women. this organization also operates a handloom school to further help sustain the dying craft of handloom weaving.
