this dress makes us want to go west, hence the name denver dress. it is made of a towel weight hand loomed fabric, made of hand spun yarns. throw it on with flip flops at the pool or boots in early spring.

the fabric is woven by hand by a co-op of women weavers in central india. this style of hand-spun cotton is called khadi, a traditional indian fabric that gives a lofty and soft feel. the co-op provides training, childcare and ethical employment to village women who otherwise would have few alternatives, providing great opportunity to these women. this organization also operates a handloom school to further help sustain the dying craft of handloom weaving.
