sabi sand mini
"woven wind," as handloom cottons are sometimes called, and nothing is more true of this fabric. airy and light, this short caftan is lined in voile for a sturdy but soft garment.
it takes 1 day to weave 1 meter of this fabric as the threads are so thin and the border is woven in by hand. the fabric is woven in rural villages in west bengal by skilled artisans who have family handlooms in their homes.
the ivory sabi sand fabric is woven on a jacquard loom with a traditional temple border in blue. slubs and occasional colored threads are normal and adds to the beauty.
take care when wearing and cleaning this fabric. we recommend dry cleaning with minimal chemicals. our friends in india say to just soak in cold water, no soap, and air dry. we leave it to you!
